Red Level Boys Win A Trip To The Ship - Mobile Bound To The AHSAA South Regionals ---

What a night as the Red Level Tigers won 69-50 over the Flomaton Hurricanes to earn their place at the 2012 AHSAA South Regionals in Mobile. The Tigers fought hard, played with intensity, and never lost their focus to get the job done. Many thanks to the home crowd for coming out to support the Red Level Tigers during this important game. Red Level Varsity Boys move on to a 2011-2012 Record = 22-10 (Overall) 7-1 (Area)

The Red Level Tigers roared on tonight during their matchup against Flomaton as they progress in the AHSAA Basketball Playoffs to the South Regionals next week in Mobile. The Tigers trailed the Hurricanes the entire game until the fourth period, but the final period was what counted the most. The fast paced game pushed on quickly lasting under one hour and thirty minutes. Flomaton controlled the first period with ease putting up a massive twenty-one points against the Tigers. Red Level was held just under the double-digit mark with nine points. Red Level fought back in the second period scoring sixteen points to Flomaton's nine. Flomaton led 30-24 at the half. The Tigers came out in the third period keeping the dream alive scoring twenty-three to put them within two points of Flomaton. Flomaton led 49-47 at the start of the final period. The momentum shift was when Red Level took the lead at 51-49 with 7:00 minutes remaining. This was critical as the Tigers fed off the cheering RTL fans in the gymnasium. Red Level continued their scoring spree by putting up twenty-two points on the board. Flomaton was only allowed one point on offense during the final period. Red Level finished off Flomaton 69-50 to win a trip to the ship in Mobile for the 2012 AHSAA South Regionals. KJ Lawrence scored 34 points for Red Level and Nein Robinson scored 26 points for Flomaton. Red Level will face Wicksburg next Wednesday in Mobile.
