On Thursday and Saturday night the Opp Lady Bobcats traveled to Geneva High School to participate in the Class 3A Area 2 Tournament. Click read more for all the results.
The Opp Lady Bobcats came into the Class 3A Area 2 Tournament as the #2 seed, and faced #3 Luverne in the first game. After a rough start in the first three quarter Opp turned it on in the fourth and pulled away for a 57-44 win. The Lady Bobcats momentum carried over to Saturday night's championship game where they jumped out to 12 point lead after the first quarter and never looked back knocking off the fourth ranked Geneva Lady Panthers 54-38 to win the Class 3A Area 2 Championship.
