With the double dip sweep, SHS begins the new campaign 2-0 while GHS falls to 0-2. Head coach John Fussell spoke about his team’s performance as a whole following the doubleheader. He said, “For the first game, I thought they played really well. I thought we pitched well, and we were able to throw our off-speed stuff even when we were behind in the count. We did a pretty good job of hitting the ball, but it is just the first doubleheader of the season.” A complete recap with more remarks from Coach Fussell and seniors Zack Turvin and Doug Mosley is after the break.
